Tonight Tall R, my dad and I rode our horses. I haven’t rode since last fall. I’m kinda wussy about saddling up and riding in the cold. Even though the temperature and wind made it feel more wintery than spring today, it felt so good to be back in the saddle again. The smell of horses, saddle leather and wet saddle pads made us forget for a while that there’s some pretty scary stuff going on in the world. It just felt normal. It’s suppose to be getting a little warmer out next week, I think we will go and do “normal” as much as we can.

Oh, going for a ride sounds completely lovely. I haven’t ridden in so many years, but I loved it then and think I’d love it now, too. Glad you were able to go out with Tall R and your dad.
